Hawk, I agree with you on both points..

The question remains what we do when the inevitable decline in private debt begins to occur. Given the government we have, I see a very likely increase in pure pork barrel expenditures- like your 'big dig' in Boston- as the mid term elections draw close. As messy as these projects are they may be the only way to get money into the system on short notice.
