Are you suggesting that Bush is wrong in increasing spending to our schools far and above what Clinton or Gore ever could get approved?

Once again demonstrating that Bush is superior to Clinton in building consensus, and making progress toward important initiatives for our nation.

Our nations education system has suffered long enough under Clinton's failed leadership. It's about time we began to change that downward direction.

Money alone won't fix the problems in public education. And anyone with half-a-brain understands that. But it is one element among many which can move us in the right direction. Tying additional funding to measured results and accountability was a Bush first step in the process. I don't believe it will get us where we want to be, but it should close the gap while he builds consensus for more dramatic changes.

Opening up the teaching profession to people from different backgrounds was another positive step Bush took.
