rescue set files that could not be copied have been cleared....

running RESCUE32 /RESET did solve this problem.

********************************

To run Rescue with the /RESET switch:
1. Click Start, and click Run.
2. Type

rescue32 /reset

and click OK.

*******************************

i had a list of eleven files that rescue was reporting could not be copied. they're gone now and none have taken their place. my zip rescue set has been updated and tested and it boots my machine.

:)
