My view is if they (sorry... we -g-) don't adopt the euro, we should dump the EEC and
become an independent nation or perhaps become the 52nd state of the USA.

so..not adopting the euro has a <nfg> attitude on my part. We should be in or out..no dithering.

Of course dithering is a strong characteristic in this country.
