Hi HH. Yup. Pretty incredible.

One thing of note however. The majority of the write down is for intangible assets. Because NT used Purchase accounting, it has gobs of goodwill on its balance sheet, despite having paid in Shares.

Kind of neat, they are writing down the good will to a value as though the acquisition had been done in current shares.

If NT had used "pooling", then the writedowns for inventory and restructuring would merely be of Cisco-like proportions.

John.
