DO, if we see a sharp spike in volatility, which I fully expect, I would welcome that range as a buying op. But NOT for the typical names. We should guide our buys moving forward. . . by EARNINGS, growth rate, EARNINGS growth, fundamental condition, competitive analysis, and did I mention EARNINGS?
I would like to nominate CATS for meeting that criteria.

I expect huge forward growth.

Volitility ^VIX is up to the 28s today. What sort of number are you looking for to indicate that a bottom has been reached? I'm unclear about why low volitility indicates a top??? I thought high volitility indicates both a top and a bottom?
