No. Read carefully. I find your "conversion" incomprehensibe in light of the reasons you cited. See James McGowan's post.

I did not use the word heinous. I said his defection merely proved he was unprincipled and I do differentiate it from the others because of the shift in power and his obvious personal gain.

Adultery was not the point. Which of the accusers settled a sex harrassment lawsuit, affirmatively lied to the American people and used his friends, family and Cabinet officials to mislead the public, misled a federal court, submitted false affidavits in a judicial proceeding, paid a fine of $90,000 for misleading a federal judge, surrendered a law license for five years....?? We'll leave aside the question as to whether the motives of the accusers should make any difference if in fact wrongdoing has been shown.

How many members of Congress got involved with interns, sexually assaulted volunteer workers, committed perjury, obstructed justice, etc.? If it were a matter of ordinary adultery, none of this would have happened......
