OK, I get it now. You are saying that the In Progress R&D writeoff that Cisco evaporates as a "one time" charge is the same thing that Nortel loads up on as "goodwill". OK. So now I understand the point of relative comparative valuations. Too bad nobody uses GAAP to compare though. They compare CSCO's pro-forma to NT's pro-forma and presto... it's all vanished. Just one tucks it up the left sleeve and the other tucks it up the right sleeve. Thank's for helping me out. John.
