The NASDAQ rally seems to have stalled. Is it getting ready to roll over again?

Jeffrey Benton, LaBranche & Co.: Market Outlook

The market went down on the JDSU and NT news but made an excellent recovery. NASDAQ tested 2000 and held which is a good sign.

It looks like we are going into a typical triple-witch Friday: a lot of volatility in the morning, no action from 12:00 to 3:00, and at 3:00 pandemonium will break out.

It's hard to know what will happen at the end of the day and most don't try to guess.

If we have a big up or down close, it will correct the next morning.

You have to be happy about how the market came back from the bad news. That is a good sign.

It isn't certain that we'll get the 50 point cut, but the anticipation of it will put a little more life in the market.
