HYGS, Hydrogenics Strengthens Executive Team TORONTO, Jun 15, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Hydrogenics Corporation (Nasdaq: HYGS chart, msgs; TSE: HYG chart, msgs), a designer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems, today announced a series of executive appointments. Pierre Rivard, President and CEO of Hydrogenics, and the Company's Board of Directors announced that the Company has created a new office of Vice President, Corporate Development, and that Hydrogenics' current Vice President, Finance, Robert Edwards will fill the newly-created position. Jim Collins will succeed Robert Edwards as Vice President, Finance and Administration. Prior to his promotion, Jim Collins fulfilled the duties of Director of Finance & Administration at Hydrogenics. "As the company continues to grow and consistent with our business plan, this action is designed to accelerate our development of alliances and collaborative business arrangements," said Pierre Rivard. In a second initiative, consistent with the company's size, complexity and rate of growth as a publicly traded entity, Hydrogenics is initiating an executive search for a Chief Financial Officer.
