I think that you're running into problems with this statement because of your "three" figure. Iverson can be counted among the top scorers of the last 20 years, along with Jabbar, Jordon, Bird, McKale, Shaq, Miller, Dumars, Hakeem,Dominique Wilkins, Malone, etc. (I'm sure that I'm forgetting some).

OK, I'll be honest, Dominique was before my time and I don't remember much about McChale. But I'm from detroit, and joey D is no iverson. Malone has always been overrated--he's a solid overall player, but a born loser. Miller statistically had a high shooting percentage, but he never scored anywhere near the kind of points that allen does, and he wasn't as much of a focus of defenses.

My bad about Kareem--I had thought his career ended in the early eighties, not the late. And yes, Shaq is starting to impress me. So top five.
