The blood in telcos and telco-equips is now about up to my knees. I'm betting it gets up to my neck before the flood crests.

Just so you don't think I'm always bearish about everything, I bought a lot of EMC yesterday at 28.3 Their CEO says: "We stayed away from vendor financing, we don't have any obsolete inventory, we didn't get involved with product giveaways, we didn't use free cash flow to make dot-com investments and we don't have a narrow customer base of companies that are now struggling to survive,"

AMAT could also make that statement. Neither CSCO nor JDSU nor NTAP can say that.

ST trading:

If I was shorting AMAT, I probably would have covered today. Since I'm holding NVLS puts (bought 6/12 when the stock hit 56), I'll sell them when NVLS hits 48. Almost got there today.
