George:

I agree. It is just a matter of time.

Best, Earlie

George, >>Moving my commercial money fund assets into federal funds.

It is beginning to feel like I am in a fox hole. Capital assets in government funds, some gold and silver stocks, small amount in foreign country funds. Playing a little of MB's income strategy's conservatively ... very conservatively. <ggg>

George, like you say, MM funds breaking the buck is practically pre-ordained at this point. one should very carefully examine the contents of one's MM funds...lots of questionable paper has flown in under the radar of the regulators, imbued with 'guarantees' that will be worth nothing when push comes to shove imo.

George or anyone,

Would a "fund" that holds Federal notes & bonds offer the same security as the underlying? If not, what elements of the fund would I look at to determine relative risk.

Thanks,
-Darin
