most major cities have RR dealerships....I don't know how useful it would be to call once and offer 100$ for them to send a guy out to do a 30 minute check....but if I were in the biz and you were a few hundred miles away...I would realize that I had no chance of selling you a unit.

Once I knew the city I would check SI for somebody who lives there....somebody always knows somebody who knows a good independent mechanic. And, these guys are always looking for a way to make money.

All auctions permit inspection. Any that would refuse obviously would not sell a car, would they? Well, at least not to you.

Anything that would be wrong up to needing a new transmission at 3k$ would more than be offset by the purchase price.

Also, most people driving 60K$ cars, take pretty good care of them.

My next car will either be a RR or a BMW 750il.....these are by far the best priced units sold on Ebay.
