What I see is this. My phone service has not improved in the last six years. My Internet connection is only 28.8k with no indication of improvement in the foreseeable future. I do pay less for long distance than before and cell service has gotten better, however, it is still not an affordable means to remain online. Ever since the RBOCs and ILECs ran the CLECs into the ground by not allowing full access to their existing lines, the market has no competition to drive it...even with high demand for faster connections, the RBOCs are not in a hurry to provide them. It reminds me of why I'll live a long life...The devil is in no hurry for those whom he is sure of".
