It is good way to wrap up a tough week. If it wasn't so close to what people suspect was the truth, it might be more funny! <g>

I think you are actually see more volatility because of the new regulations on disclosure. You don't see the mysterious volume spike on the well covered stocks anymore. Unfortunately, when the news does hit the reactions are more brutal and the volumes higher than before.

You cover the semiconductor and semi equipment stocks fairly closely. What is your scenario for the timing of the recover of the sector especially the semiconductor equipment sector since it usually recovers first?

My best guess is the Greenspan will be able to extend the economic cycle, but that we will crash hard sometime in the next year or so. That fact is that there are few new revolutionary technologies on the horizon to drive the next wave. Add into that the fact the PC's which have driven a lot of growth now have more power than most people need given the current applications. I think new applications and better software design will be the next area of growth. Most software does not even use a fraction of the features built into the hardware.
