After the Oklahoma bombing I watched Limbaugh being interviewed on TV and someone popped the question (paraphrase) "Don't you feel a little responsible for helping to create such an atmosphere of anger and hatred toward the federal government?" Limbaugh was like a deer caught in the headlights. His eyes flashed guiltily then he stammered and denied it, trying to distance himself though his political views were not that far from the militia types McVeigh idolized.

Lesson being, demonization, hatred and extremism at any end of the political spectrum is dangerous in that psychotics following you might take it as a sign to do something dramatic.

Eco-terrorism can also be used as an example though unlike abortion clinic murders and the MvVeighs of the world they don't murder, just money wrench bulldozers, try to save trees and recently burn down half-constructed homes. Potentially someone could die but no one has yet. Back in the 60's it did get violent though. However even worst crimes were committed in places like Kent State by the police state tactics, though most people don't like to remember those days.

I don't condone any of it but the far right looks a lot more villainous and dangerous in that their espouse firearms much more. Yet even opponents of executions have to feel OK about McVeigh being fried. What a poster child for the destructive insanity of the far right.
