I lost a friend a few years ago to brain cancer, she was only 38. And she had just met the love of her life and gotten married again...they were so happy it was unreal.

I still think of her all the time, and how unfair it was. Especially to her kids...

SusieQ,

So sorry to hear of your loss. A few years ago I lost my closest friend to lung cancer in just a matter of days. It is extremely hard to come to grips with it. Yet today, there are very few days that go by that I do not think of her. The memories are precious thou, and I am so glad she was here to touch my life. My heart and prayers go out to you and your friends' family and friends.

Susie,

I am truly sorry about your friend, and continue to be frustrated by our inability to get a rope around that damned disease. Perhaps it will be one of the bios we play that finally comes through and puts Cancer in the same league as Polio.
I hope it happens soon...

My thoughts are with you during this sad time.

Fred

SusieQ,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your friends at this tragic time of loss.

You are doing a wonderful thing by giving space to those who are grieving, even in your own time of grief.

I lost my mother to cancer 8 years ago. Horrible thing, cancer. Celebrating what would have been her 62nd birthday this week. Still mourning her passing.

Grief has a life of its own, and ways of its own, that are truly mysterious. It never really goes away...just changes form.

Peace be with you, TC
