Re: Support

The myth of "institutional support" should have been put to rest once and for all this week by the KFT IPO. They jacked the price up as high as the market would bear and then simply walked away. For a deal like this to break syndicate bid within 24 hours of its debut speaks volumes about the "take the money and run" mindset that passes for investment banking these days.

The GX business model has been explained ad nauseam by management and the few analysts who get the big picture but it doesn't matter in the short term. The fact that GX has executed this plan superbly doesn't count in a climate of impatience. People are scared and scared people don't think, they just react. But only a backdrop of fear can produce the sort of irrational pricing that we now see.
