That is a gross misconception. Why not spend some time really thinking it through instead of just accepting what you are told to think? If you do not have taxes, you will not have government. That means anarchy. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization. And, BTW, did the USA did not grow -- rather prodigiously -- from 1776 through 1917 without any tax on earned income? Yes, of course it did. So how do you explain that? Or... do you simply choose to dismiss and ignore it? Another evil taxation of earned income created was that it encouraged the federal government to start spending all its ill-gotten gains on redistribution of wealth schemes, social engineering projects, "safety net" programs and legislation designed to inhibit freedoms and restrict liberties. All actions well outside of the purview of its authority and intended structure. The original vision was the centralized part of the government would be small and pretty much subordinated to States' Rights, and the States' Rights would be subordinate to the individual's rights. Your "arguments" are beginning to sound like Flappy's.
