The Statue of Liberty. She faces East. North America is moving West an average of 3/4" per year from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Europe and Africa are moving East from the ridge about the same 3/4" per year.

Those inches can add up if you're collecting frequent flyer miles accurately.
