Also, Fortune surveys have named Enron the most innovative company in America for six years in a row.

"Ken Lay is the CEO of Enron, which is one of the most forward thinking corporations on earth."

I quote from your original post because I wonder what Mr. Lay will say and do in the future.
From what you say, Mr. Lay is a good CEO but if Mr. Lay envisions himself as a leader, a visionary,
I do not believe being a good manager or CEO will be enough to take him down the path towards enlightenment.

What is important to me is that Mr. Lay has the resources to help many people. On the other hand,
his close personal relationship to the narrow-minded and pretentious Buhsites worries me.
If Mr. Lay has been corrupted by money, if he believes that money is the currency that builds inner-strength and morality, he's a typical CEO, money manager or Bushite. You see them every week on the Rukyser show.
So what's new?

When I think about morality, I believe that if you are moral you will not want to harm other people.
And you will find greater pleasure in helping other people than you will find in making money. When I make five
or ten grand trading, it doesn't give me any pleasure. There is security from the trade unless I fritter the
money away on other stock but there isn't any pleasure from the gain in paper currency.

I look forward to how Mr. Lay acts in the future.

If he realizes that:

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio
.......Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-- William Shakespeare

Mr. Lay might help his fellow Americans. If he sticks to "W" way of thinking, he's just another CEO who
is doing very well at the moment because energy prices are up.

Should he garner meaning from the "Hamlet", quote he has learned that the health of our
planet is imperative to our economic success and to public health. By contrast, the quote
from Hamlet would fly over "W's head. "W" wouldn't have a clue. "W" values only money and loyalty
to the Bush family.
