It's only a flesh wound, really...

Jay, what you and the rest of these so called "smart guys" don't seem to appreciate is that stock prices are at a fantastic low. For the same number of dollars you can buy SO MANY MORE shares!!!

Take Nortel for example. It's like getting a 10:1 split, without that nasty dilution (whatever that is).

See Jay, the vast majority are proud of being "LTBH investors", which as they will tell you means buy something and never sell it. Hang on. Have faith. Just like you, they see value stored most deeply in things which don't return a dividend. But unlike your silly old economy gold, their tech holdings don't weigh an ounce! New economy Gold. Virtual gold!

So you see, it doesn't matter what their portfolio is "worth" today! The only thing that matters is the share count. It's all about what it will be worth down the road. So this opportunity to buy more shares for the same dollar value is a veritable dream come true!

The more stock prices go down, the more tech virtual gold they can buy with their dollar-cost-averaged constant dollar investment stream.

So in fact, these folks should be spending MORE because they have MORE SHARES!!!

Spend spend spend! Come back and fight like a man. It's only a flesh wound!

John
