Totalitarianism is the logical conclusion. Socialism and Communism are the symptoms. Worship of the State, whatever you call it, is the disease. The philosophical foundations are identical. Totalitarian is descriptive. It modifies, it does not define. Socialism was the form in the USSR and Nazi Germany, Totalitarian was the degree. You can split hairs endlessly, as they do on Usenet. You can choose to say that the USSR wasn't "true" Socialism, and that "true" Socialism has never been implemented. Those who do refuse to acknowledge the end result of their beliefs. Derek
