Is chatting like this on the internet really more rewarding than sitting around, backs on the ground, eyes skyward, crickets chirping, stars shinning, exchanging ideas the old fashioned way? Do people, in general, use the time they save using microwaves, and faxes, and driving instead of walking, to spend more time on things they enjoy? Or do they use it as another way to increase their advantage over the competition, multi-tasking and working and ordering the pizza 15 minutes before they arrive at home so they can squeeze in a few more minutes of 'productive' behavior. Is this what people want? Is this progress? Or is this marketing?
