More to my point:

These all suck currently, see for yourself:

The cpu chip maker:

The memory chip maker:

The box maker:

The OS maker:

A case could be made that Mr. Softie has been making a comeback but although not in
technical violation of moving averages, appears to be approaching a high risk point of technical breakdown.

The point these charts are currently whispering about is that the old-style boom days are not about to re-emerge. The downhill impact of this will be widespread. Time to look elsewhere. Well past time actually.

By contrast, this is a rocket:

Although near term it too could see some short term downside.

Michael -

...The hollowing out of tech margins will continue. That's why I see the fringe chip makers the only safe play. Those companies that sell in the mile wide one foot deep market space like the analog houses. LLTC, MXIM and the unmentionable one....

Nice post, with a lot of reasonable sounding commentary.

Is it possible to identify the unmentionable one without mentioning it? -g-

TIA, Don
