John: Having followed the discussion so far, how about the Buffett idea that if you get into nit picks or highly involved discussions of what is the "proper" discount factor, that is too close for choice.

If a company doesn't stand out regardless of discount used, why buy?

(And as most of you know here, I am highly skeptical this is the first consideration in choice, compared to the future of the technology, area or field the company is in.)
