Ventless units are potentially deadly due to any type of combustion air interference....a very tight home will cause a recycling of low oxygenated air....and this will effect the burn of the unit increasing CO output.. the MFG's assume nothing will change in the environ surrounding the unit.... even when my furnace was being tested by the experts for the trial....they had the windows and garage door open....this in fact was not even close to the conditions that were present when we were poisoned.
