Dear help:[Do I have to buy a new computer.]

If you are running Windows 98;

Kindly reboot your PC and hold the control key down between the time the PC starts but before Windows begins. This will boot DOS program mode.

Select safe mode from the menu. Your PC should boot to Windows. From there you can run some repair tools.

If you get to safe mode let me know.
