Doc,

Thank you for your thoughts. Most of the people I know invested in this have been in a long time and trace their awareness of REFR and SPD to relatives or friends with background in the potential markets. My relative was CEO and then the Chairman of the Board of LOF which is now Pilkington. In Toledo, where my family is from, the auto glass business is big. Being in the back yard of Detroit we know the impact a new technology can have on the industry. SPD is such a technology. It is a better technology for large glass areas since it has no iris effect and is faster than competing technologies. There is a reason you do not see electrochromic sunroofs sold in cars. There have been prototypes but I know that Hanglas has sent SPD sunroof prototypes to major car manufacturers and I think if you read their recent announcements it sounds to me like they have end-customers ready to order.

Most of us with large investments in this company are thoroughly cognizant of the risk involved and now we understand the complexity of setting up the infrastructure and why Hanglas and others have needed years not months to work with end-users before putting products into production. Each product requires its own testing and warranties. This is a cumbersome process but needed to be done. That is all behind us now.

As for the "power" of the shorts. It is a moot point to me and other longs. They have taunted and threatened on the chat boards since I can remember. They have accused me of being a shill and one guy even used my predictions as "proof" the company had said products was misleading investors on the time line. Just so you know, I have never worked for REFR but have been an investor since 1992 before they had the film version of SPD (it was a liquid form when they first got it to work)and a true believer since 1997. I just keep buying. I am not trading the stock. I am in this for the long term and will buy at all prices.

We long termers have been through this many times before. We have a private chat group of REFR investors and apparently according to those on the board who have been tracking this, the short making all the noise say he has been shorting the stock since January through GBIC and has shorted 493,000 shares at an average below $20 and only bought 4,200. So I can understand his need to enlist some public support.
