I noticed another interesting example of biased war jounalism yesterday.

The headline screamed: PALESTINIAN BOY KILLED IN JERUSALEM.

The desired reaction--those barbaric Israelis, will they never stop their cruel actions!

But, the story did not match the headline:

1) many paragraphs into the story we read that the incident occurred not in Jerusalem, but near the Egyptian border.
2) More importantly, the boy was shot by Palestinian gunmen shooting at Israelis--in other words, by "friendly fire."

The story had an added gloss that the shooting only came after Arab villagers--yearning for peace--tried to stop the shooters, who then shot "wildly." So the boy is a martyr for peace.

My guess is the kid was shot by his own countrymen by accident, that there was no attempt to stop them from shooting, and that the propagandists have tried to make the most of this.
