Cary does a good job of analyzing the fundamentals based on realistic expectations of bookings and sales trends, and that is why I consider it dangerous to disregard his opinions on investing. As for your heartburn over his changing his targets, I don't think it makes sense to set one's expectations in concrete and never change them in the face of changing conditions. Of course there is a fine line between that and getting whipsawed, which is why I consider the fundamental analysis mentioned above to be a vital piece of the puzzle.
