For total vindictive revenge, there was nothing to match the bombing of the beautiful city of Dresden at the end of WWII. Thousands of Eastern bloc refugees fleeing the Russian advance from the East where huddled in the Railway Center and they were cremated along with the rest of the City. Or how about Hiroshima? A tradeoff.

In straffing a road, one old departed friend recalled startlingly seeing a woman pushing a baby buggy as his shell tracks passed over her. War is hell.

Barbarism exists in all mankind just below the surface of their cultured civilized exterior. Sometimes it's accidental. Terrorists lurk. When will the bad dog bite is the only question?
