Lakers,

<< And it is as simple as that. >>

LOL!

Umm. As simple as "throughput" (or as the prodigious James Martin would say in one of his many communications textbooks "potential throughput" when referring to packet-switched data in a telephony environment?

Got any old texts by "Jamie", hanging around?

<< Just like the sixers and Lakers are at the same place:-) >>

They ARE at the exact same place, and not many of them are thinking about basketball today, or even thinking about next years rematch.

Remember one thing. Last time it took 3 attempts (and the acquisition of Moses Malone) to get the trophy over here to the "City of Brotherly Love", so that Dr. J could wear an NBA championship ring (and I'm a Celtics fan anyway who liked to watch Julius when he played for U Mass).

... and no trophies have yet been awarded for "commercially available" 1xEV-DV v. GSM-EDGE, first to market, and nobody but AWS (and their vendors) know the status of EDGE field trialing, or FUT.

And it is as simple as that, you know.

BTW: Interesting comment and rationale from Hershel's buddy, Geoff Varrall in his January "Hot Topic" that "packet switching is no more efficient than cell or circuit switching. This is particularly true when applied to wireless networks".
