Fred, it could happen longer term, it sounds logical to me, as baby boomer spending won't peak until about 2008. But, the internet needs broadband. When everyone can get broadband, movies could be downloaded in minutes, instead of like 14 hours on a dial up modem, then goodbye video rental stores, IMO. And, with broadband, voice and video will be the norm, IMO, with everyone having little cameras everywhere. And factor in interactive TV, and we have a brave new world that everyone would want to buy into. The only problem is, this is years off.
