Rustam, The author paints a doom and gloom picture, doesn't he. Very sensational, but mostly out to lunch. Anyone who has the faintest idea of fiber optics realizes that it is as easy to lay 500 fibers in a single cable that it is to lay a cable containing a single fiber. Is this a glut of fiber? Hardly. It is the foundation for future growth, and it will be needed. Anyone heard of Gnutella? If not, then you will. A bandwidth hog, but one that is a revolutionaly as email. There is more to come including on-demand HD TV and a billion Chinese wanting to get wired. JGH
