straight life:

I am deeply wounded. You characterize these discussions as dry, when we have endeavored to impart subtle humor, and when on occasion we have feigned the sturm and drang of great clashes. And for what? Not to tell you that you shouldn't have bought, but with the feeble dream that we (and you) might do better in the future.

My optimism destroyed, I am disillusioned.

Hi Straight Life... sorry for glazing your eyes.

>>we're all going further underwater<<

Maybe there is something to be said for forcing one's self to wade through "dry" subject matter?

[EDIT: But in light of saturation and dubious interest, I'll reign in the discussion for a while]

John.

Straight life, almost any evaluation method will show that most of us, starting with me, haven't been wise. But the good news is: 1. This tech depression will end some day. and 2: we can learn from our mistakes and not hold tremendously overvalued stocks next time. Then, owning gorillas at sane prices, we will slowly but rather steadily prosper.
