*OT* All the pragmatic method implies is that Truths should have practical consequences, and particularly in their being good consequences. From a pragmatic point of view, we need only determine what conduct a thought's meaning is fitted to produce: that conduct (for the pragmatist) is its sole significance.

The pragmatist turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards action and towards power. That means the open air and possibilities of nature, as against dogma, and the pretence of Finality in Truth.

Pragmatism does not stand for any special results. It is a Method only. Anyone who owns and runs a lucrative business possesses a pragmatic attitude in order to maximize profit, even if they are very metaphysically oriented, like I am.

Yes, I have always been very pragmatic or result oriented. I can easily bond with people who possess very different views or beliefs than me as long as the tie is mutually beneficial. Yes, that applies to financial profit, and
(before I got married), to sex.

No doubt, there are some who are Tough-minded and who require complete agreement in ideas before they engage in a relationship. That has never been my style because I value learning and experience. I have always placed a tremendous value on Quantity of Experience.
