Thread- Gee sorry I keep forgetting to add comments.

The Sprint comments I made was simply my guess. I did not verify with the company. I hope the UMC1000 isn't ION related. If it is, could be trouble as Sprint has openly acknowledged problems in deployments with that project. And I don't believe it's MMDS related as that's been a no show for years. So that is why I guessed mobile wireless. -MikeM(From Florida)

Good! You raise some legitimate questions that is worth discuss and from which we (perhaps) may come out more knowlegeable about access business.

AFC grew up out of its origins as a supplier for smaller carriers and rural carriers because it didn't have to go through all the standardization/type-approvals to which ILECS subjects the NT's and LU's.

Later it went international (South Africa and China) and then (after getting burned) retreated to its origins.

Last year by April I made a comment -to which lml alludes- saying that it would be hard for a niche player to survive on its own. I felt we were closing in into a downturn in the US telecoms. I said that the big players would have it easier sicne they could tap international markets and AFCI not very likely.

Now when I see NT dropping broadband access I see it as more dangerous for an access niche player than ever.

This is just to put into the same feet lml and I am. I will back to this once gain
