Others are experts i am sure on these stocks. From my view without extensive background knowledge on either of these, the PE's look like damn good value.

Don't try to read too much into one days's action. Look at a chart that goes back a year and the most important thing you see is the divergence between XAU and even better HUI and gold price. I think it portends higher prices.
