That is not even vaguely true.

Your right. It also is only vaguely connected to what I was saying. The church has influence, the NRA, the ALCU, the NAACP, the AARP, and NARAL also have influence. None of them can enforce a prohibition against something. The can try to convince you or they can lobby congress but they don't have government powers.
