Earlie from Earlie:

I bid adieu to one of my favourites, CLS today. Not because it isn't a great short anymore, but rather because it has provided such a delightful whack of profit in such a short time frame. No doubt it will fall even further down the stairs tomorrow after the Solectron news, but so be it. On ANY rally, we will grab it again.

NVDA is moving up the Earlie "Hit Parade". I have taken on a small tidbit and will add from time to time. This stock has been driven up on a well-orchestrated squeeze, but sooner or later, the company must own up to the fact that it too has to deal with crummy demand in their niche. Having a "relationship" with MSFT can hold the loyalists together only for so long.

Another favourite, CIEN, is starting to behave nicely. It is one that treated us most kindly during the last crunch and it appears to be returning to that mode again.

Our old friend IBM, has also been returned to our "Hit Parade". I suspect old Louis will have difficulties getting the analysts to hold down their lunches this quarter and the funds have parked a bunch of nervous dough there. As mentioned earlier, the puts are still cheap, but starting to move up. We are "there" in spades this time around.

AMAT and NVLS both continue to defy gravity, but patience will be rewarded. The semi equip game is a mess and these stocks are being held aloft on analysts' hype and hope. When the dam breaks, both will likely flush rather quickly.

Best, Earlie
