"...made me feel like a complete idiot.

Yeah, many people feel like complete idiots regarding this INSP/GNET DotBomb fiasco.

I bet the person who feels like the biggest idiot is Paul Allen. He put somewhere between one third of a billion dollars and $420 million into GNET, and never sold a single share of either GNET, or now INSP (yet). As GNET's largest single "pre-merger" shareholder, he could have dumped his 11,922,406 shares of GNET (29.47% ownership) at the high of 111 3/4...for $1.33+ billion.

Instead, he's sat by and watched his very major investment in GNET (now INSP) completely tank, dropping to a mere $60.11 million at today's close ($2.77/share x 21,698,778 shares of INSP). That's a "paper" loss difference for Allen of over $1.25 billion during this fiasco. He must be unbelievably p*ssed for not "dumping" all his GNET last year.

On the other hand, at least he can most likely still afford food, shelter, clothing, an occasional bottle of vintage wine, a few personal jets, a misc. professional sports franchise or two, and several small third world nations...whereas some of us shareholders are most likely surviving on just pork n' beans...on the good days.

EDIT: Just ran out of "pork"...and the side effects of those d*mn beans day-in and day-out are really starting to annoy the dog, who never comes inside with us anymore...much preferring to aimlessly wander our tent city searching for scraps of anything from strangers, who never owned a stock in their entire lives.

Oh well...perhaps this too will pass. Gotta go. Today's my turn to pump the outhouse, and its nice to have work...which I'm hoping will help postpone my mind from completely going to h*ll in a hand basket. Heck, things could be worse...we could have bought and held a ton of KOOP and WBVN as well. <g>
