MSFT is kicking ORCLs butt in database sales.

I refer to recent Dataquest survey, MSFT just passed ORCL in number of PC database server installations.

Over the last 10 years, MSFT has become

- #1 in number of systems with GUI interface OSs (good by Mac OS and OS/2 as anything more than niche products)

- #1 in Office productivity software (Corel, Borland Lotus and Wordperfect were left for dead)

- #1 in PC server software (kiss Novell's ass good by)

I am not saying that MSFT will lay waste to ORCL and IBM DB2 database offerings but IFMX and SY have market caps near RMBS's now. MSFT will not be satified until they gain 90% market share for PC database servers running Windows.

PS NDX futures up 14 pts or about 20pts from 4PM close. Limit up is about another 26 pts from where we are now.
