While I agree that perhaps some rose colored glasses were in order, I think ORCL's news along with ADBE suggest that software will not see the same type of problems as the hardware and networkers.

I think this suggests that overall the economy is slowing, but demand for new applications is there, just no demand for hardware to run them, because networks and hardware are already in place and more than adequate to accomodate increases in productivity. Using that logic, can u imagine what a bad report from ORCL would have been like?

What we need is an increase in productivity!!!!!

What scares me more is warnings from NOK. Worries me that J6P is worried about paying his bills and not so worried about having the smallest phone!

BWDIK!

PS> Think we rally tomorrow...markets are oversold, traders know it, and the ORCL news will help carry some of the heavyweights. The mild ppi and cpi really look like another 0.5 rate cut might be in the cards as well. Also didn't notice buy programs hitting the markets strongly today--just enough to keep the markets from tanking. Suggests to me big boy's have been saving their powder. Next stop NAZ 2100

PPS...I'm an idiot so don't listen to me! hahahahaahaha!
