NewVision:

My thinking, especially towards Nortel is a massive restructuring effort. The present CEO is retiring and I suspect the new one will be a chain-saw specialist. Another thing that's being overlooked is that there will be some pressure from the institutions for a reverse stock split. As the price of the stock falls further, the pressure will mount. I wouldn't go there until after that happens.

On another note, at least here in Canada, inflation is reported to be at 4%, Nortel stopped paying their dividend. Heck! they won't even pay you to hold it...

Nortel has accounting problems, debt, massive losses and the prospect of no growth for many years to come? What would you pay, PSR of .5 to much? Go long if you want, but the downside is still plainly there.

Best Regards
