I smoked for 27 years, quit cold turkey 20 years ago when I was up to 3-1/2 packs a day. I started my day by sitting up on the edge of the bed and smoking 3 cigs before I went to the bathroom. I quit when they went from $6/ctn to $10/ctn in one jump. 2 years after I quit, I was still able to force smoke out of my lungs. I would plug my ears, pinch my nose and exhale as hard as I could; a little puff of smoke came out. Finally stopped coming out about 3 years after quitting. One bullet is a lot cheaper to commit suicide with than the estimated 415,000 cigs I smoked altogether.
