You mention 13 week and 39 month cycles. What other cycles do you look for? What about 9 month and 4 year cycles others claim exist?

GZ,
Re: 39 month cycle low

This previous low was around beginning of April 2001. Counting back 39 months gives us Jan 1998. There was a small dip in the market at that time (SPX ~980 down to ~910) and the market did work higher after that (to SPX ~1130 and later to ~1200) before falling off a cliff in Oct 98.

The major lows closest to 39 months back were Oct 97 and Oct 98, but those were 41 months and 29 months back respectively. 39 months prior to that would be Oct 94. The market did have a major bottom in 94 but the low was more like Dec 94. But that was a major league low, as the market basically went straight up for about a year after that.

I don't see what 39 month cycle you are talking about.
