ORCL news may lift market for a short while since we have 7 down days in a row. It will be a brief rebound and the down leg can lead NASDAQ to 1600 range. For details:

If more and more companies made positive comments, it becomes more believable and maybe even more likely to happen...that could create the turning point for the market.
If that recovery story is believed, it would be more likely to lift the Nasdaq past that 2300 resistance level the next time it gets close.

You have a point.
The problem is everyone has heard the lie about the second quarter recovery, the second half recovery, the 3rd quarter recovery... for so long now, no one will believe it when it does come. Then the idiots will all pile on after it is 150% priced in, pushing us past 2300 to god knows where. LOL

Great shorting opportunity early next year if this happens and I think it will.
