I replied that it's not really any fun just preaching to the choir, and only losers like to associate with fish of the same stripe ... whoops, sorry James.
Thank you. Shall I relay your compliment to the liberal folks over on LWP? All the posters here show up on the unmoderated political threads; some of the demolibs over there never do. So I'm sure you meant your comment to apply only to them. :-)

I guess my staying here is the same reason that some teachers go into special education ... they find it a challenge to teach the educable mentally retarded.
Awwww. How touching. We feel the same way about you.

You're probably right. I've probably run my course here. Might be time to move on. although the GWB thread isn't any better with people like Cyberkenny, the word-challenged Thomas Watson and Michael Cummings posting over there.
Ptomises, promises.
Well, dang. You should start your own moderated thread and ban all of us. Well, actually, you should let JLA in since he lets you in here.

In other words, you can't effectively counter their posts with your Bullshirt either....

From the "Union Elites who Haven't a Clue" department":

In the wake of massive wage increases making Twin Cities nurses the highest paid in the country -

Jan Rabbers, spokeswoman for the Minnesota Nurses Association, acknowledged the hospitals' financial squeeze.

"We have a culture that increases demand on the health-care system but
doesn't understand the ramifications. With disposable income, people are
having all kinds of elective surgery, just because they can, and it is increasing
demand and pressure" on hospitals, doctors and nurses, she said.

See, its not an cost problem, its a disposable income problem. i.e. Too much disposable income. Our boys and girls down at the legislature will take care of that problem. Also, people here have too damn many healthcare choices. If we made people wait 8 years to get a nose job like in France and Canada, maybe there'd be fewer of 'em. We've instructed our boys and girls down at the legislature to take care of that problem too.

But she contended that hospitals spend too much on buildings and consultants
and not enough on bedside care for patients.

"Healing is not an efficient process," she said. "Sorry."

Translation - Quit whining, shut up and pay.

Flapjack,

I know exactly how you feel, I really do... I spent time on the LWP thread thinking I could open their eyes to the folly and emptiness of their reasoning... all I ever got was abuse and ridicule, so I decided to leave them to their blissful ignorance..... I tried to begin a serious dialogue over at that thread because I also thought it would be more challenging and more productive to dialogue with a varying view, but nothing I every offered was taken seriously, everyone was already set in their ways, nobody listened and nobody even cared... although I was routinely greeted with cat fights from tramps with mental problems, at least here you're greeted with a solid rebuttal... it finally occurred to me that thread was truly nothing more than a gathering place, a watering hole for the ignorant, a cemetary wasteland for the mindless and stupid... I give you enormous credit for posting here for as long as you have, my visit to that other thread was only a fraction of the time you spent here, you have lots of guts in regards to that and I give you all the credit you well deserve in that regard, you should continue to stay here and post away..... I only speak for myself, but I certainly think you're welcome to stay here and continue to post, maybe you only need to rethink your political views... just remember, the liberal experiment has run its course and has failed..... in whatever you decide to do...

My Best Regards,

GZ
